Traditional Skills in a Modern Marketplace

Bathsystem are experts in the production of prefabricated bathrooms and kitchens in concrete and in steel. Established in 1993 in response to the growing building market demand for off-site construction solutions from Construction Companies, Architects, Hoteliers and Developers, Bathsystem has continually increased its annual sales providing a perfect merger between quality – which keeps the best tradition of the product Made in Italy – and the market demands to develop solutions embracing the equal needs of functionality and design.

Prefabricated bathroom pods – Technology implementation

Light 

The structure of the light bathroom unit is made of lightweight concrete with a 6 mm diameter wire-mesh reinforcement. The weight density is about 1.600 kg/m3. The wall thickness is generally 50 mm. The external concrete walls are ready to be finished, painted or wallpapered on-site by the customer. Holes for services as well as door and window opening are made according to the project design and the customer’s requirements. The shell is manufactured in line with the regulations for prefabricated lightweight concrete units and cannot be used as a load bearing element. On site, the bathroom unit is placed on rubber mats of 12 mm thickness to guarantee the acoustic insulation. Any direct contact points between the pod unit and the building structure has to be carefully avoided. Acoustic insulation Db 36 ( UNI 8270) and fire rate 30 min.

Superlight

The Super Light pod is composed of steel profiles assembled by only mechanical fixings without the need for welding. The latest Bathsystem Pod has enriched the product range with a pod that perfectly responds to the demanding market for lighter structures particularly in high rise buildings. The structure of the bathroom unit is made of lightweight galvanized steel sections and the wall thickness is 75 mm. The steel frame is clad internally with 15 mm thick Fermacell boards and the external face is ready to receive insulation and plaster board. Holes for services as well as door and window openings are made according to the project design and the customer’s requirements. The shell is manufactured in line with the regulations for prefabricated lightweight concrete units and cannot be used as a load bearing element.  

The fire rate is 30 min. The floor can be made in two different materials: in lightweight concrete – 1600 kg/m3 – placed on rubber mats of 12 mm thickness to assist the acoustic insulation or with a sandwich panel – 12 mm thick, 330 kg/m3 – placed directly to the floor to guarantee a perfect adhesion.

Kitchen pods

Bathsystem also manufacture Kitchen pods, the Company decided to expand its production with a new innovative product in the prefabricated sector on the basis of its experience in the production of bathroom pod. Completely finished and ready to use, rectangular or “L” shape, it is an excellent alternative to traditional kitchens. The Patented Lightweight Concrete achieves good fire and acoustic ratings, completely finished with all accessories as per client requirements, we prepare drawings in which every detail, even minor, is carefully designed, selected, supervised and presented for approval by the customer.
